WEEK 6 TEAM BY TEAM REVIEWS

GREEN BAY VS CHICAGO (24-14 GREEN BAY WIN) CHICAGO: QB - Justin Fields 47 Fields wasn't horrible in this game and in fact had two drives that truly showed off his long term capabilities. He has a chance to be a good player down the road as his tools are absolutely off the charts. That said at this point he is an absurdly slow processor of plays and really struggles to get off his first read and to discern defenses. He puts his head down at times when he's pressured and in this one it cost him a layup touchdown to Allen Robinson in this one on a blown coverage where he didn't see him and tucked it and ran instead. His athleticism was on display numerous times and he has incredible speed. That said he has poor pocket presence and ran himself into two of the four sacks he took, and held the ball too long on another one. One of them took them out of field goal range as well. The Interception he threw was on what he thought was a free play, but even then, there was no one in th...

WEEK 5 TEAM BY TEAM REVIEWS

ATLANTA VS NYJ ATLANTA Qb - Matt Ryan 74 Ryan played efficient quality, mistake free football in this one and finally got to where I think this offense needs him to play. He has been solid the past couple of weeks as his progressions have gotten faster in the Arthur Smith system. What really helped Ryan in this game though was his decision to simply target Kyle Pitts. This offense needs to be ran through Pitts first and if it is, they have a chance to be successful. Despite still only throwing the ball 20 yards downfield 4 times in this game, Ryan was super efficient. He spread the ball around and was exceptionally accurate in this one, going 33/45 with 3 drops credited to his receivers. Where he shined was his hot spot, the intermediate routes, where he looked smooth and dynamic. It helped he was under very little pressure all day and his running backs kept them mostly ahead of the sticks. He did a nice job of finding easy throws and it led to 342 yards and a QBR over 80. Really ...

WEEK 3 TEAM BY TEAM REVIEWS

TEXANS VS PANTHERS TNF Panthers: QB - Sam Darnold 74 Darnold was efficient in this one and did everything you’d ask a quarterback to do. He didn’t turn the ball over, although he did fumble twice or his grade would have been in the 80s. He was effective, particularly targeting the zone between the linebackers and the safeties, throwing intermediate passes with accuracy and anticipation. He has the skill set to play in this Joe Brady scheme very well. He was harassed by the Houston defense but the constant outlet passes led to him picking up a few tough third downs. Maybe his most impressive play in this one was with about 2 minutes left in the third and the game still in the balance, on 3rd and 9 and facing a big hit he hung in the pocket and delivered a 10 yard bullet to Terrance Marshall who beat Eric Murray on the play. It kept the drive going and showed his toughness in the face of pressure. Add 300 yards passing and two touchdown runs, and Darnold played a very effective game. RB ...
